If you don't have a printer ... you have my permission to print out this week's colouring page at your local 'library' or 'copy shop'.
2) Colouring pens or pencils - you can even use watercolours, colouring markers or paintbrush pens (whichever art pens, pencils or crayons you choose [or have available to you] it's going to be great)!
3) You can also purchase access to the 'Art-Life-Coaching Subscription and Art-Kit Plan'.
Art-Life-Coaching Colouring pages (and 'Art-Kits') are suitable for 'all ages' (small parts are most often 'not suitable for 'babies and toddlers' under 3-years of age). 'The Coaching Practice' welcomes payment via debit or credit cards (both online or in-person) when paid by those aged 18-years and older.
4) (Meals and drinks) including a 'tea-time snack' and a 'cuppa' nearby - it's important to 'eat' and stay 'hydrated'.

This week's 'Colour-IN' is called: 'A Walk in the Park'.
'Walking' in 'greenery' ('parks' or the 'countryside') can often help to 'clear away the cobwebs' (whilst promoting 'levels of relaxation and calmness').
'Walking' (when able) offers a wonderful link of 'low-impact: exercise' - and: I have often found that when I'm able to maintain my daily 20-minute 'exercise plan' (and a 'short-walk') this also helps to 'maintain my own fitness and weight levels', too ...

This week's 'Colour-IN' is called: 'Laurel Leaves'.
'Hedge-rows' or 'stand-a-lone: schrubs' ... the 'leaves of Laurels' are 'hardy: evergreens' which stand sturdy 'all-year-round'.
Regular 'pruning' and 'enriched soil' helps to support their stature - as well as: keep 'yellow leaves: at bay'.
I quite like the 'speckle of colours' that often present and merge - depending on the 'season', 'temperature' or 'sunshine'.

Part 2 is now ready ... How did you complete your 'watercolour' or 'Colour-IN' - and, was your use of 'colour' similar to mine?
This week's 'Colour-IN' is another of my freehand 'line-drawings', based on a 'snap' of garden 'nature' - 'Laurel Leaves'.
The Plan - Part 1: to produce this week's 'watercolour' following the same 'technique' as last week.

1) 'Tin-set of watercolours' from my (now opened) 20-year-old un-opened 'Art-Kit'.
Along with:
2) A new fineliner pen - used to create the image 'outline' (used as this week's 'Colour-IN' page).
3) 'Colouring pencils' (again from the 20-year-old 'Art-Kit').
4) 'Marker pens' (purchased last year: the colours are still going strong).

This week's 'Colour-IN' is called: 'The Easter Watercolour'.
'Saying it: with flowers': if you celebrate 'Easter' or not - this week: I thought I'd share a simple hand-drawn outline, as an image base for use with 'watercolour' (or any other 'art material' you choose).
It's also hoped that, this week's 'Colour-IN' page: will encourage you to 'colour (or 'paint') outside of the lines' using your own 'interpretation of detail'. This will also enable you to include any aspect which will help to make this image truly yours (especially: if you are able to sit outside for a short while to view the 'colours of nature' - i.e. 'plants', 'flowers', over-grown areas of the 'lawn' or at the 'park').
Week 36 Art-Life-Coaching_ Easter Watercolour Workshop - Video Link.mp4This week is 'watercolour' week - mainly: because, looking through my box of 'art materials', I discovered that:
A box of 20-year old un-opened 'watercolours', were still perfectly ok and 'hadn't dried up'!
My 'marker pens' are still offering 'strong links of colour'.
My 'colouring pencils' just need a little refreshing, for 'precision'.

This week's 'Colour-IN' is called: 'National Pet Month - Everywhere'.
In celebration of pets everywhere - and following a little online 'research', I soon discovered that: 'New Zealander's' often 'favour: cats over dogs' when welcoming a pet to their home!
Continuing on with 'digital watercolour': this week's theme ... is ... 'cats' or 'dogs'?
Sometimes, when our ‘energy and efforts’ need to be directed elsewhere: we can ‘realign: with our inner-calmness’ (or 'memories of our younger-self') - by: taking the time to ‘colour’ (if only for a short while) so as to begin to ‘recalibrate: our own mindset’.
Which picture will you choose?
On the whole: the process of completing a ‘colouring page’ is often based on a ‘step-by-step’ process - and: as basic ‘colouring’ really doesn’t require any special skills (with some practice) ‘colouring’ skills can be improved. Especially when using ‘art materials’ that suit your ‘comfort zone’.

I find that: whenever I complete a whole 'Colour-IN', I'm also practising a level of 'mindfulness' - whilst supporting links of dedicated focus, towards an afternoon dedicated to: 'Relaxation & Calmness'.
Perfectionist, or not: a 'Colour-IN' doesn't need to be perfect ... with practise: 'colouring skills' often get better.

When we are able to discover ways to help maintain and even improve upon our own general ‘wellbeing’ (which is often based on: our own ‘mind’, ‘body’ and or ‘spiritual’ self) - then: we can begin our own intended ‘practice’ of ‘self care’.

Here in the UK: ‘Daffodils’ are often seen as the first sign of ‘spring’. These ‘light-lemony-yellow’ flowers with ‘burnt-orange’ trumpets (often found within or alongside ‘hedge-rows’, lea’s or ‘woodlands’) grow strong and stand tall from their regenerating ‘bulbs’.
Interesting Facts - 'Daffodils', are most often:
1) Recognised as a 'March: Birth Flower'.
2) Abundant in their level of self-propagating growth - either when cultivated in gardens or out in 'wild: woodlands'.
3) Worn on 'St. David's Day' (1st March) - as the 'national flower of Wales'.

In an effort to help demonstrate a full video 'Colour-IN' (within a shorter time-frame) this week's 'Colour-IN' Demo will emphasise two image area points, of: 'Colour-IN' texture techniques ...
See: how I gradually 'build up colour' by beginning with a 'lighter base colour' - before: applying a second and third 'light-layer' ... following the contour of each shape.
In this week's workshop: I plan to apply a 'cross-hatch: pattern' to help 'lift the seating area of the image' providing 'texture' in order to help highlight areas of 'upholstery'.
In earlier workshops: I've been able to demonstrate how I apply colour to image 'walls', 'ceilings' and 'floors' - as well as: 'furniture'; 'curtains' and 'pottery'. I've also shared some interesting insights on how to make use of some interesting 'colours', to help create the 'leather' arm chair look.
This week: I also plan to 'Colour-IN' so as to create the 'suede-velvet' look, too!
And: in the spirit of maintaining links of 'relaxation & calmness': I encourage both new and established 'subscribers' to watch a few more of my earlier 'Colour-IN's' - covering many of these areas ... ready to begin to Colour-IN', too!
Recognising 'links of success': I'm still amazed having now achieved over 3,900 'subscribers' to the 'Youtube Channel' (and still counting).
In the bigger scheme of things: this figure might not seem like a huge following ... especially since there are so many other 'creatives' out there - who have been able to command 'subscribers' in their 100's of 1,000's.
Even so: I still believe that when you 'DREAM BIG' ... you are taking steps to 'make it happen'!
Why not gain a little 'relaxation & calmness' by sitting down with 'a cuppa' (and a snack) and completing a new 'Colour-IN' page template ... take as long as you need (over a day, a week, a month), use the art materials you prefer - and make your 'Colour-IN' image, unique to you.

This Month: ... As January is often looked on as a month of: 'New Beginnings' - where: individuals might begin to 'aspire' to the ‘new', February may be looked on with both 'love' and anticipation for 'peace' in the year ahead.
February is also the month where we could all strive to make and maintain our connections with others - particularly family, friends and the new.

It’s Wednesday - and: today's 'Colour-In' page continues on with 'the theme of love' by 'saying it with flowers' (even though [at this time of year] there are very few [if any] emerging buds in garden hedgerows).
Evergreens which have stood their ground, continue on - and: as I sit and 'colour', I can still hear the 'quiet rustle of autumn leaves' (hidden in the far corners of the garden and) scattered across the lawn.
It's still 'a little too cold for me to sit outside colouring with a cuppa' - at this time of year: I prefer to sit 'in-doors', watching nature through the window ... in the 'warmth' ...

It’s Wednesday - and: today's 'Colour-In' page prepares us for one of the biggest commercial days of the year (second only to the 'yuletide: festivities').
Valentine’s Day (celebrated on February 14th) is a day dedicated to love, affection, and romantic gestures. It’s also a worldwide recognised link of celebration, which can be traced back to both ancient Roman traditions and Christian saints.
In fact, it could be said that: the day itself has evolved through the centuries to become an international day based on the exchange of cards, gifts, flowers, and expressions of both love and friendship.
An online survey (2024) predicted that: ‘Consumers were expected to spend a record $27.5 billion on Valentine's Day that year, up from the previous year's $25.8 billion and slightly above the previous record of $27.4 billion, set in 2020.’
Here’s a little more about the history of ‘Valentine’s Day’ and how it's celebrated:
The day is said to be named after St. Valentine, a Christian martyr who lived during the 3rd century AD in Rome. The most popular legend is that Valentine was a priest who secretly married couples during a time when Emperor Claudius II had banned marriage for young men, believing that unmarried soldiers made better warriors.
Valentine’s defiance led to his arrest and persecution, and so he became a symbol of both ‘love and sacrifice’. ...
Art-Life-Coaching Love is ... Colour-IN Page.pdf... With that being said: many historians believe that Valentine’s Day originated from the ‘Lupercalia’ festival (said: to promote health and fertility) an ancient Roman celebration held in mid-February where women and men were encouraged to meet.
During the ‘Middle Ages’: knights and ladies exchanged ‘poems’ and declared their undying ‘love and devotion’, for one another.
The victorian era brought a surge of 'Valentine creativity' where intricate 'handmade paper and lace cards' became very popular!

It’s Wednesday - and: I anticipate that today’s ‘Colour-IN’ (completed within 'in-door' warmth) will last for approximately 1-hour and 20-minutes.
This year: January promotes the powerful yet peaceful benefits of the ‘open-air’ (helping to inspire [through shared interest] a ‘connectivity’ to ‘nature, education and conservation’) - and as: being outside (in ‘natural light’) can often help to promote general mood, it can also encourage our own individual links of ‘reflection’.
Bird Watch Day: encouraging us all to slow down and observe ‘nature’ in its ‘natural habit’ - and you don’t need a big garden to take part!
Dog Walking Month: daily walks also help to maintain (or improve) general mobility and fitness - as well as: encourage links of ‘mindful wellbeing’ for both individuals and their dogs.

In a ‘fast-paced’ modern world, consistent connection to and with others is more important than ever - particularly as: it often helps to remind us that any shared ‘conversation’ really is better than no conversation at all.
By choosing to connect to others on a consistent basis we develop stronger links of ‘connection’ (and ‘friendship’) - as well as: gaining the opportunity to develop better ‘emotional resilience’.
Any efforts made to help maintain links of communication (even in remote ways [outside of the usual ‘key moments’] of family and friendship) are often welcomed - and: generally help to strengthen emotional wellbeing, too.
So - when you suddenly ‘think about someone you wish to connect to’ … why not send them a quick message, call or arrange to ‘meet-up for a cuppa’!

It’s Wednesday - and: today’s ‘Colour-IN’ considers the benefits of sitting outside (in the open air) having a ‘cuppa’ whilst watching the world go by.
It's 'tea-time', here in the UK - and, today: here's my favourite home-made 'Bread & Butter Pudding'.
Many ESL students have often engaged in discussion on 'favourite foods' with a new understanding of how this ... 'delicious dessert' really is ... a traditional 'British' favourite (although: there are many 'worldwide' versions out there).
Taking a walk in the ‘open air’, or even just ‘sitting outside’, can often help to ‘lift-the-spirits’ (as well as: encouraging ‘alertness’) - and: these benefits extend further, when we also consider just how valuable ‘fresh air’ and ‘natural daylight’ are to our general ‘wellbeing’.
Another benefit to ‘natural daylight’ is that it can also help to support ‘emotional balance’ (as well as ‘regulate sleep patterns') alongside helping to increase levels of ‘vitamin D’.
Most of all: ‘mindfulness’ gained by implementing levels of ‘relaxation & calmness’, can also help ‘pave the way’ towards a ‘better emotional state’.

Last week's 'Art-Life-Coaching' workshop was presented within a 'video short' - as this allowed me to complete the week's (series of 'Colour-IN' clips) alongside other project tasks (and a 'cuppa')!
Saturday the 29th November (from 12:00pm to 4:00pm): I demonstrated the use of 'acrylic pens' at a table/stall based within a local 'Church Christmas Fayre' (UK).
Visitors were able to order 'Designer Cuppa's', 'cards' and other 'Colour-IN' products on the day - as well as purchase from a selection of newly 'handmade: decoupage compact mirrors halves, key rings, badges and Christmas tree decorations' (with 'demonstrations' on the day).
There were also some of my most popular 'A4 Colouring Cards' available on the day, too. Please email/message to be included within future email updates and details of 'Event Workshops':

It really was a great afternoon - especially as: I got to meet new 'subscribers'!
Each Stall was 'filled to the brim' and (as each table offered something 'unique') I gained some much welcomed 'feedback' on the level of 'artistry' displayed on: 'mirrors', 'badges',
'key-rings' and 'satchel-badges' - as well as: 'Christmas cards'.
Suggestion: Why not consider using your 'hobby-skills' to create something new ...!

So - today's 'Art-Life-Coaching' workshop is a little different as I'm sitting with a 'cuppa' in a different 'space' today. When the weather allows it, I can often be found in the garden (if not delivering a 'workshop' within designated 'space') - or: 'colouring' (often 'writing') at the the local park 'cafe' (or, one nearby).
This week: I've also 'built in a cuppa time reminder' (I may also continue to 'colour' [filling in areas of the page when ever 'repetitive colouring skills are needed') so that when participants return they are able to view within their designated 'workshop' hours. ... here's part two of today's 'Colour-IN'.

'Porcelain' cup ware bases (often 'slimmer' and a little 'lighter' than other cups in the range) are currently out-of-stock at the manufacturer. The design can be applied to the 'wider' cup range (upon request).

Colouring can also inspire feelings of ‘joy, calmness, relaxation and creativity - and: as ‘colours’ can also help to ‘realign the mood’, we might also begin to recognise how ‘yellow’ helps to ‘lift our spirits’, ‘blue’ supports ‘soothing of the mind’ and ‘green’ encourages a ‘connection to nature’ ... as well as: 'purple' inspiring 'peace' and 'pink' being associated with 'love'.
We might often consider the importance of ‘maintaining our minds and bodies so that they become strong and supple’ - before we also gain realisation of the need to also find ways to maintain our own fitness level, by ‘staying fit’ (in both 'mind, body and spirit') too.
Overall ‘Wellbeing’ isn’t just about being ‘fit and healthy’, it’s also about building and becoming more ‘focused’ with ‘clarity’ - as well as: finding a ‘sense of happiness’ (or even ‘purpose’) within your life (and or ‘surroundings’).
So - if ‘colouring’ isn’t for you … How about 'Arts & Crafts' instead?
Over the next few weeks: I'm going to build and implement some 'new creative hobby skills' as I prepare for an upcoming 'Christmas Fayre' ... with plenty of photos to follow!
Reasons to become 'cheerful'!
1. 'Mind': not only do 'hobbies' encourage 'cognitive agility', they also assist in promoting general 'wellbeing' as they help to 'activate: different areas of the brain'.
2. 'Body': general 'physical movement' often helps to sustain the body's 'suppleness and strength' - as well as: 'helping to induce levels of calmness and better-sleep'.
3. 'Spirit': connectiveness with others can often be described as being 'good for the soul'.
Either way: making efforts to find inner 'calm', gain better 'sleep' (including 'health and harmony') and achieve overall 'wellbeing' is certainly something to strive for (and a 'step-by-step' process towards change, often works best).

I often find that ‘colouring’ helps to support a ‘meditative’ state - particularly when ‘listening to calming music’. I also use ‘colouring’ as a link of ‘reflection’ (where I might try to recreate a ‘colour’ or ‘pattern’ that has been achieved when using a different ‘medium’ [like ‘marker-pens’ on ‘paper’]).
‘Colouring’ sometimes provides the ‘quietness’ needed in order to help find the ‘solution’ from ‘within’.
‘Colouring’ also supports my ‘inner-cognitive alignment’ and I still find it very rewarding to ‘complete a Colour-IN’ (or any ‘project’).
In various ways: I’ve been able to recognise the ‘outwards: benefit of colouring’. I don’t think that I’m exaggerating too much when I confirm how ‘joyful; calm; relaxed and creative - I feel when colouring’.
If I want to sleep: then, I often ‘colour’ with ‘pens’ on ‘paper’ (‘digital colouring’ can be tiring [so I find that: it’s important to divert my ‘gaze’ elsewhere, regularly] - as: [‘digital colouring’] is not always conducive towards sleep).
In the summer: I have been known to ‘sit outside answering emails and colouring, for hours’ (another reason for ‘sitting under a parasol, wearing factor cream’) in between ‘study’ and ‘classes’ - and in the approaching months of winter, I encourage you all to ‘connect to colouring’, too (as you 'sit within in-door warmth').
Not so long ago: I explained to another how I was able to become an expert ‘colourist’ … and I said: “I have been colouring since I was about 6-years old!”
I believe that ‘colouring’ not only supports links of ‘hand-eye-coordination’ it also supports ‘cognitive-agility’ (similar to that of ‘completing a jigsaw or other puzzle’ [full plan members are able to still view the ‘Club’ page]). I also find 'colouring' as a very useful 'prelude' to successful 'study'.
Thank you (again) for the ‘feedback’: when I complete a ‘Colour-IN Demo’, (it does take ‘energy’, although) I find it very ‘relaxing’ - and, as I have gradually ‘built-up’ the strength in my ‘hands’ which helps to support my ‘digital colouring for longer’, I now find that I am able to ‘complete a whole Colour-IN: as a link of joy, rather than just another work-task’.
When you 'connect to a Colour-IN workshop': you are not expected to complete a whole 'Colour-IN' within designated workshop hours. The workshop 'demo' serves to provide a 'visual reference' on how a 'digital Colour-IN' can be completed - whilst also demonstrating use of 'colour', 'blending techniques', 'layering' and 'resource tools'. It also works well as a link of 'meditation' or a 'prelude' to 'study'.
Remember! When you take time to 'colour', I encourage you to ‘Colour-IN' alongside viewing the workshop and then complete your 'Colour-IN' page within your own comfortable time-frame …

In the follow-on weeks, of this workshop series: workshops will also include links of 'business skills' building (just as in 'earlier years'): as well as a general overview on 'the benefits of colouring' ... and how the process of 'colouring' can also tie into other areas of 'Life Coaching'.
If you've already begun to implement 'colouring workshops' into your own 'groups' - or: perhaps you and a group of 'friends, family or colleagues' have decided to 'Colour-IN' with a cuppa over 'lunch' or an evening 'get-together' ... then you probably have everything you need.
If you also plan to expand on your current 'creative workshop' provision (within 'supportive communities') - or, are in the process of developing your own 'colouring plan' workshops (and wish to become more confident in the 'person-centred: skills' that may become apparent) ... then: you may also find these 'links-of-support', useful.
Creative 'hobbies' like 'colouring' (and the 'arts') can often become a useful 'coaching resource', when within '1-to-1' and or 'group' workshop settings.
'Art' can also support a 'person-centred' care approach - particulary, when: offering a 'non-verbal' outlet for 'ideas', 'emotions' or the 'personal interests' of (the 'self' and) others.

This week's 'Digital Colour-IN' is titled: 'Tea Time with Pets' completed in an afternoon ... of complete 'focus' - where my first 'planned task' was to complete a 'themed: Colour-IN' - and: my second was to 'write about the day's achievements' ('reflection').
Task three: was to 'select today's music' (which is 'royalty free' [this means that the 'music' you hear is shared with permissions and doesn't infringe on any 'copyright']) - and, as you are viewing this 'Colour-IN' via 'Youtube', this also means that today's video has passed 'without-copyright-issues' ...
For those of you who 'share' within a 'community setting' and must maintain and or register 'copyright' (i.e. 'Church' meetings and events) ... I also encourage you to view on 'mute' or 'lower the sound'.
This is also suitable for those of you who would prefer to watch and listen to a favourite album, instead.
This week's general 'theme': has been 'focus', which is different to that of being 'mindful'.
Focus - encourages us to 'pay no attention to distractions' by 'directing our attention: to the task at hand'. When we are able to 'maintain our focus' we are one step closer to reaching our 'goals' (including a 'step-by-step' process).
Mindfulness - encourages us to 'be in the present' and or 'aware of our own surroundings' as well as others.
Being 'mindful' does not require us to fully complete a task or project - although: it's link to 'relaxation & calmness' also supports skills to developing 'focus'.
Either way: it's always great to be able to take some time to sit and 'Colour-IN' with 'a cuppa'.

Last week's 'Colouring Page' was chosen to help 'promote' a 'link of personal development' based on 'self-reflection' ... also known as: a 'self-portrait'!
Those who've managed to complete the: 'Inner-Happiness' Journal, may have already recognised this 'workshop task' - where participants are encouraged to 'sketch' their 'creative: self-portrait' ... with a 'smile'.
This 'workshop task' often sits well within a 'whole day workshop' - whereas today's 'Colour-IN' can also be completed over several 'hours' or even 'days' ... depending on how you are able to allocate your personal time.
I'm particulary happy with this 'colouring page' - as: its a 'universal' image - that: I believe will be particularly useful to the majority of this 'membership' group (who are 'women' [and in the 'spirit of unity' a 'Colouring Page' will also be generated as a 'male' version, too]).
I encourage you to 'find colours: to suit your own likeness' - and: 'Colour-IN'.
You can be as 'creative' as you like. I've tried to 'blend colours' to try to match my own ('legs') 'skin-tone' - although, you could use the 'Colouring Page' as a 'template', and:
Sketch in trousers - or a long skirt.
Create a patterned dress - or a two-piece set.
Use lots of different 'colours' to build up 'different hair tones'.
One of the great things about this 'creative: workshop task' is that (although the 'image' is 'generic') the completed 'Colour-In' will be 'unique' to you (unless you try to 'match: colour-for-colour' to my own 'Colour-IN', that is) ...
Thank you for your 'feedback': this 'Colouring Page' has been printed onto a 170gsm matte paper card stock (this is not 'watercolour' paper). The paper card is very 'sturdy' and so ... has worked well when using 'marker pens', 'acrylic paintbrush pens' and the usual 'colouring pens'.
I anticipate that: it will work well when using 'watercolour brush pens', too ... as long as I 'don't overload the colour pen brush: with water' (I will include an 'update' the next time I use 'watercolour brush pens').

There really is something 'to be said' about taking some 'pre-planned' time to just 'sit still and colour' (whichever medium you choose) - where everything around you seems to slow down as 'time sits still' ... when in reality: 'time has flown by'!
When you attend a 'workshop' you will be encouraged to 'sit and colour' with a 'cuppa'. Workbooks and colouring materials (as well as a 'relaxed' and general overview [on the 'benefits' of 'coaching workshops']) will be provided.
'Feedback': I began my 'Colour-IN' onsite in the 'workshop' and then completed the project over the same day and evening (building in some next day 'editing' too). I don't ever rush as the whole project is based on creating aspects of: 'Relaxation & Calmness' (that both welcomes and includes 'conversation' and 'virtual connection').
This is 'Why?' I encourage you to continue on with your 'Colour-IN' after and or inbetween 'workshops', too!
'Feedback': as last month's 'live' demo on 'Youtube' was premiered 'live', this also meant that viewers could see the full process of completing a whole 'Digital Colour-IN' project (where: 'timings are often different to that of those completed using 'pen, ink or paints').
After yesterday's 'Colour-IN Workshop': I went for a walk surrounded by very warm weather and as the 'sun shined brightly, high up in the sky' ... it was difficult not to walk with a 'smile' - and as ever: all 'smiles' were returned with 'kindness'.
One of the reasons why I like to take photographs of 'floral borders' (as a link of 'visual reference' [for future 'Colour-Ins']) is the 'colour range'.
The next time you visit your local 'park' or 'sit in the garden', try to take a moment to 'really see the colours of nature' and perhaps 'reflect'.

Today's 'Colour-IN' is all about finding 'Relaxation &Calmness on Wednesday' - I've 'put the kettle on' and 'the biscuits are ready' ...!
So if you'd like to 'pop in for a chat, a cuppa and to colour', then: 'message', 'email' or 'call' ...
For today's 'Colour-IN Demo' I'm going to use a set of 'colouring markers', instead of the 'acrylic pens' (['markers' were] previously used for 'The Lounge' colour image).

Today's 'Colour-IN' was all about taking some time to find a little more 'Relaxation & Calmness', in this world ... (and: not just on a 'Wednesday') ...
I promote 'colouring' as a link of 'meditation' - where: with continued practise, levels of 'Relaxation & Calmness' can be achieved.

By definition alone: 'colouring' is not considered as 'Art Therapy' - and, 'I am not an Art Therapist' ... although: the way that 'colouring' can often help to 'alleviate: signs of stress' ... it might sometimes seem as though it could be
In 2022: The Mayo Clinic Health System published the following, on their website:
'Coloring is a healthy way to relieve stress. It calms the brain and helps your body relax. This can improve sleep and fatigue while decreasing body aches, heart rate, respiration and feelings of depression and anxiety.'
I have found that: 'Colouring' can also lead on to a 'level of focus' that serves well in 'study' ... so - if you're not sure where to begin ... then: try 'colouring' for a while. It's also a really great way to 'wind-down after a long day' ready for 'sleep'!

Good morning, good afternoon - or good evening ... wherever you are in the world today! I've arrived and I'm currently onsite at this week's workshop small event (although: depending upon your 'time-zone' [or, if you're still at work] you are probably going to read this later on in your day ... ).
Thankfully: the room space is quite cool, we have access to the kitchen (for refreshments) ... I've put the kettle on and the biscuits are ready and waiting!
I'm only onsite for a little while longer - and, you can still 'email', 'message' or 'video call' me for the next hour-or-so.
Hopefully, if it's not too warm ... I shall sit outside 'colouring' ready for my next video update (thank you for the 'feedback' ... I think that it's always great to hear the 'birds' in the background too).

Even though I tend to 'clock-watch' my own 'Colour-IN' timings ... I encourage you to colour in whenever you have the time to just 'sit still and colour, with a cuppa'!
This week's main 'Colour-IN' ('without background sound') was completed earlier on today (when it was 'cooler' and more comfortable to sit outside) took longer than 'lasts week's' 'Colour-IN' (although: it didn't seem to). It took approximately 3-hours to complete!
Another reason 'Why I like to colour?' Is that: it helps to 'strengthen the ability to focus' - whilst also promoting a link of: 'mindfulness' ... that can also lead on to levels of 'relaxation and calmness' (and perhaps even 'help to induce better sleep') ...
Suggestion: "Why not listen to your favourite 'album' whilst watching!"
My original plan: was to only offer 'Colour-IN' workshops over the 12-weeks of the summer holidays - and: with many taking their annual holiday around these weeks ... it also makes sense (following some really great levels of 'feedback') to continue and carry on through the 'autumn' and 'winter' months (as a 'connective link' of 'relaxation & calmness' and individual workshop/s) too.
So - this time of: 'planning' and 'connectivitiy' will mean that you can either attend a 'Colour-IN' workshop by joining a group event [UK]) or arrive as a 'small group' (space allowing) - workshops will also include links of 'business skills' building (just as in 'earlier years'): as well as a general overview on 'the benefits of colouring' ... and how the process of 'colouring' can also tie into other areas of 'Life Coaching'.
Like I said earlier ... 'I'm not the only person who loves to colour' ... regulars (who visit the 'puzzle' page [don't worry: new 'puzzles' will be included soon]) will also understand that 'I'm also an enthusiastic puzzler', too.
I'm also a really great planner of my own diary: and only the other day ... I commented how a 'live: Colour-IN' doesn't usually take 2hrs and 40-minutes to complete (I usually 'colour' a smaller project [although: 'digital Colour-IN's' are getting longer]) - although: I'm still happy with the 'result' ... so much so that, I've also included the 'latest Colour-IN' on a 'range of t-shirts' and 'totes'. It's going to appear as the next 'Designer Cuppa', too.
The time taken to 'colour' each picture, will vary. When delivering a 'workshop event': I adjust my 'colour demo' - depending on the materials used ... which makes sense when using 'colouring pens' ... and taking time to 'make a cuppa' ... and then to 'talk' (and also 'provide feedback') ... whilst 'building rapport' ... may often find that 'colouring projects take a little longer than anticipated'.
This is why I like to emphasise that: you are not expected to complete a whole 'Colour-IN' within the workshop event. I'd also like to say that: you don't have to make use of 'digital colouring' ... you can 'colour the same picture using colouring pens or pencils (you can also [when the weather isn't too warm] use 'crayons' or 'pastels' for the larger areas) ... or even watercolour. if you prefer' instead.
The most recent 'Colour-IN' premiered on 'Youtube' ... and I hope to 'co-ordinate another 'live' Colour-IN again soon'. My next focus will be on: picture 3 of the 'Tea and Cake' series. Again: please don't worry if you don't have use of a 'computer printer' ... I will provide 'print-outs' of 'picture 3' (within next week's workshop [and following purchase, you can also request a copy of 'picture 3' via post]).
Remember: 'art materials' are included within the 'event workshops' ... the materials given to you, are yours to keep - so: you can continue on with your 'colouring' inbetween classes, too.

I have been researching: there are lots of 'colouring workshops' taking place in many areas (both here in the 'UK' and beyond) ... I hope that my 'workshops' are a little different (or perhaps ... they're not so different ... 'colouring-in over a 'cuppa') ... it has been 'suggested' that perhaps 'evening: colour workshops' [perhaps from September]) ... would be very popular, too!
Also - I recently read that: the process of 'colouring' (can often show similarities in 'relaxation' to that of when 'listening to music' and) can also help to 'maintain focus' and in some instances, 'help to reduce levels of pain' by promoting 'relaxation and calmness' (thus: 'less anxiety').
I also read that: (and as mentioned, within one of my earlier workshops): Colouring (and its 'cognitive' abilities) could help some individuals (depending on their own level of ability) to 'retain some level of cognitive function: because of the levels of repetition' colouring requires - as well as: inducing levels of 'relaxation & calmness' ...
In fact: when completing this 'Colour-IN' ... 'live' ... I made the conscious decision 'not to answer the phone - or reply to emails' ... and 'Youtube' messages were replied to before I began ... and then when I took a short break to sip my 'cuppa'.
Most importantly (when within 'hot weather') I kept 'cool' and 'hydrated' (under a 'parasol' with 'sun-block') ... as when 'colouring' ... it's very easy to 'lose track of time' ...
... and - even though 'art', like 'beauty: is in the eye of the beholder' - there really is 'no account for taste', or a 'right or wrong way to colour' ... and, as ever - it's most likely that: personal preference will always shine through.
Also - I have found that: a 'digital: Colour-IN' develops a different level of 'colouring skill' (and 'dexterity') when compared to the use of 'pencils, colouring pens or water-colour pens'. 'Digital' colouring (when the next chosen 'colour' has been selected) is a little like well practised 'typing skills' - where: you begin to type away with confidence, whilst 'maintaining constant eye-contact with the screen'.
Whereas: 'pencils, colouring pens or water-colours' encourage levels of individuality based on 'personal preference' (and or 'dexterity') - alongside continued focus: whilst also considering the weight of 'paper' or other 'craft medium'.
Then there is also the 'subtleties' between 'pencils', not just 'colour' but in 'strength of colour', too.
Suggestion: if your hands aren't very strong - then consider using different sized 'colouring pens' or 'water-colour pens' (with 'less need for pressure on paper').
Suggestion: if you're worried about 'choosing and mixing colours' - try not to think about 'colour matching' to begin with ... just begin your 'Colour-IN' and carry on from there ... and please don't worry about 'colouring outside of the lines' ... as 'colouring' skills can often improve with practise ...
With that being said: I'm able to travel to attend (and demonstrate) at other event sites, too.
So - as I said: since publishing my latest 'Colour-IN' ... I have also seen my Youtube 'subscription: sign-ups' exceed my original forecasts (and other 'colouring enthusiasts' from other parts of the 'world' are connecting, too). I really hadn't anticipated the overall 'link of connection' that transpired - although: it has been great to be able to connect with new 'subscribers', too.
In fact: as I view my most recent 'sign-up: figures' ... there are currently over 2,000 'Youtube: subscribers' ... to 'this channel'. Thank you!

To those who are new here ... welcome! To those who are returning - 'Thank You' especially so: for clicking on (and reading through) my weekly emails. You are (as always) very much appreciated.
So - any minute now: I'm anticipating another update, 'congratulating' me on my 'success' having gained over 1000 'subscribers' to my 'Youtube' channel (following last month's 'success' at reaching 500 'subscribers') - and I I'm still amazed at how much this small gesture meant (as well as: my new level of over 1000 'Colour-IN' enthusiasts!) - Update: it's arrived!
'Automated' or not: this gesture helped to instill a little more 'faith' not only in my 'offerings' but generally - across all areas of my work day.
I really looked forward to planning my day: so that I was able to include a link of 'Relaxation & Calmness' by completing a 'Colour-IN'. I even tried to 'answer a few messages' along the way ... using 'speech-to-text' (and also following the completion of today's 'Colour-IN').
The latest ('digital') 'Colour-IN' picture was from 'The Tea and Cake Afternoon Tea Collection' (this collection has been compiled for 'colouring' enthusiasts to 'download', 'print out' and or 'share' with their own 'colouring groups') this collection also includes 'The Lounge' colouring page.
This 'full-colour' workshop: was 'recorded: live' from my laptop ... and: I was able to take 'a minute or two', 'here and there', to have 'a cuppa' and a 'biscuit-snack' - so, you might see 20 or 30 seconds of stillness (when you watch it) ...

It’s Week 2 - and wherever you are (if on your summer holidays [or, enjoying this 'glorious' weather [even after the 'tennis'] here at home [in the UK]) I wish you (alongside: the many 'subscribers' from other parts of the 'world') the very best of times!
So - on Wednesdays - for the next few weeks: I will continue to share the latest 'Colour-IN Updates' (as well as provide further updates to other e-group, events and page links) too.

Hi and welcome to the e-coaching group. Thank you for clicking on (and reading through) my weekly emails. You really are appreciated.
It’s Week 1 - and most schools are now closed for the summer holidays.
So - on Wednesdays - for the next 10-weeks: I will be delivering my new round of: Art-Life-Coaching workshops … onsite within a community meeting space (here, in the UK).
Workshops start small and will expand further into a larger hall (or space), as numbers build - and: as usual ‘all are welcome’. Children are welcome (although: there [at present] is no ‘creche’ facility).
